Regenerative AESTHETICS Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy.

Make no mistake about it. The process of Collagen Induction Therapy, or Medical Microneedling, literally involves damaging your skin. Don't trust just anyone to perform this on your face. Enjoy receiving this powerful skin therapy in the safe and clean physician-run environment of Bodywork Docs.

Using the FDA-cleared physician grade Candela Exceed, a medical microneedling device, your skin will glow. Medical microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, can improve graying and sagging skin, fine lines, scars from acne or other trauma, cellulite and stretch marks.

The provider will prep the skin with a local anesthetic, thoroughly cleanse the skin, and then use the device to create micro-punctures. Expect to have some minor bleeding and a lot of redness and/or blotchiness afterwards. This implies that the procedure was a success!

The micro-"trauma" causes increased blood flow and healing factors, which in turn will help to clear skin and boost collagen formation.  This procedure has proven to be effective in several medical studies.

Though we don't supply Botox and fillers, this procedure can be performed even if you have had them.

A series of 3-6once monthly, will deliver maximal benefits in most cases.

Acne Scar Express Treatment.

Book a convenient and affordable microneedling session to promote clear and healthy skin. This treatment is designed for treatment of acne, acne scars, fine lines, thinning and dull skin. For sallow or aging skin, collagen induction therapy is highly recommended (see services).

Multiple evidence-based studies have proven the efficacy of this technique. However, as with any cosmetic procedure, satisfactory results cannot be guaranteed. Please notify us if you have an active oral herpes lesion. You can still safely have this procedure. You will require a brief course of antibiotic prior to procedure, which we can prescribe. A series of 4-6 treatments, spaced 3-4 weeks apart, are needed for optimal results.

Microneedling for Hair.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that has gained popularity in recent years for its potential in promoting hair regrowth. This innovative technique involves the use of a device equipped with fine needles that create tiny punctures or micro-injuries in the scalp's skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing processes, leading to the production of collagen and growth factors. While microneedling is primarily known for its use in improving skin texture and reducing the appearance of scars and wrinkles, it has also shown promise in treating hair loss conditions, such as androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness).

The concept behind microneedling for hair regrowth is that the micro-injuries trigger an increase in blood flow to the hair follicles, providing them with essential nutrients and oxygen. Additionally, the release of growth factors can encourage the dormant hair follicles to become active again, resulting in thicker, fuller hair growth over time. Microneedling may also enhance the absorption and effectiveness of topical hair growth treatments, such as minoxidil, when applied immediately after the procedure.

It's essential to note that microneedling for hair regrowth typically requires multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart to achieve noticeable results. Additionally, the effectiveness of the treatment can vary from person to person, and not everyone will experience significant hair regrowth. Before considering microneedling, individuals should consult with a qualified dermatologist or hair restoration specialist to determine whether this procedure is suitable for their specific hair concern.
